Bulk Payments

This screen allows you to make mass payments by importing the information into the Internet Banking System.

How to Upload a File?

• From Account: Select the account you wish to debit from the drop down list.
• File Separation: Select the delimiter between the data. Example: Comma, Tab or Hash.
• Transfer Type: Select from the list.
• Narration: Enter a description for these payments.
• To upload a file click , select the file and click Open.
• The transactions will be uploaded and validated by the system to check that the fields are correct. If there are errors you will have to change the file and upload the data again.
• Once you have submitted the transactions, the system will validate the actual data, account numbers, currency etc. Any errors will be shown. Only valid transactions will be submitted.
• Once the transactions have been confirmed, you can check the status of each transaction from the Batch Transaction Status Screen. Transactions that were not submitted are shown as dropped.

  This screen provides a register for all of the electronic transactions placed by the user through the Bulk Payments in the eBanking. You can view a list of the transactions but you cannot modify the information.

  Transaction Status

  The Status column shows the up-to-date status an each specific transaction. The status of the transaction, depending on the system’s status (online/offline) may vary see What does the Transaction Created message mean?. The most frequent status types currently available are:

  The Transaction Created message has two different meanings depending on the system status (shown in the message area of all pages).

  When the system status reads Online

  • The Online Banking System is able to process payments in an online/real-time environment.
  • A payment processed while Online is posted immediately in the involved Bank account and it is reflected in both account balances and the account statement.

  When the system status reads Transit or Offline

  • Your payment is marked as Pending. The Internet Banking System can only mark your payment as an instruction for the next Online period.
  • The payment is processed in the next available working-hours (next available Online). The successful posting of the pending payments is always subject to the available balances of the involved accounts.
  • It is strongly recommended to always check the posting result of the Offline payments using the Online Transaction Status screen.

  • Pending for Approval The transaction was created but approval is needed.
  • Declined The transaction was Pending for Authorisation and a user with authorisation access declined the transaction.
  • Pending These are transactions that have not yet been posted to the core banking system.
  • Submitted Sent from NETteller to the core banking system but no response has been received from the core banking system yet.
  • Completed Sent from NETteller and fully processed by the core banking system and applied to the account. All accounting/onward processing complete.
  • Accepted Sent from NETteller and imported into the core banking system.
  • Rejected Transactions that have been rejected from the core banking system.

  Process Options

  • Account: Select the Account you wish to view from the drop down list.
  • Select the From Date and To Date.
  • Click Search.
  • The system will retrieve the relevant batches.
  • Note: Transactions that are pending for approval and require authorised signatories will be shown under the signature column.
  • Click View, to view the transaction details.
  • Click Dropped, to see what transactions were uploaded but did not complete in the system.

  Other Options

  • You can Print or Save the details by clicking on the print and export icons.

• To delete all the transfer details without submitting the transaction you have entered click the Clear button.

Submit the Transfers

• When you have completed the details click Submit.
• You will now move to a confirmation page where you can review the details. You might be asked to input an TAN

  Some processes in the Internet Banking system require the input of an TAN (transaction authorisation number) for security reasons. For example a TAN might be required when you make a transfer between your own accounts.

  How to Use an SMS TAN

  • click Send me a TAN.
  • an SMS will be sent to your mobile phone.
  • input the code number in the field SMS TAN.
  • when you click Save the system will validate the number. TAN numbers can only be used once.

  How to Use the Token Device

  • You must enter a new TAN for each transaction you make. TAN numbers can only be used once.
  • Click the button on the Token Device and a number will be generated on the Device screen.
  • Enter the TAN number, click Submit and then Confirm.

• Click Confirm. The system will check you are authorised to complete the process.
• Upon successful submission a message will be displayed on your screen.
• You can print or save the e-receipt for the completed transaction by using the icons. The transaction number is from the internet banking system.
