Swift/International Payment

This screen allows you to order the execution of a transfer to a beneficiary in foreign currencies to other countries.

How do I process my payment?

• From Account: Select the from account number.
• Beneficiary Details: You can either select a saved beneficiary and account number entered on the Maintain Beneficiary List or enter the beneficiary name and account number.

  This screen is for you to save the details of your beneficiaries. You will then be able to make quick transfers from the details you have saved.

  How to enter a New Beneficiary/Edit/Delete

  • From the list of your beneficiaries you can click the edit icon to amend the details, or click the delete icon to delete the beneficiary.
  • Click Add New Beneficiary.
  • Enter the Beneficiary Name, Address, Nickname, Email Address and Phone Number.
  • Bank Type: Select the bank type.
  • Account/Iban Number: Enter the number.
  • BIC: Click to search for the bank.
    • In the search criteria you must enter the first three characters/digits.
    • Click Search your selected criteria will be retrieved by the system.
    • From the list retrieved, click Select on the bank your require. The details will be automatically entered on the account.
  • Click Submir.
  • Click Back to return to the list of beneficiaries.

• Beneficiary Bank/Intermediary Bank Details: Click to search for the bank.
  • Bank Type: Before you can use the search, you must select the bank type International Bank.
  • In the search criteria you must enter the first three characters/digits.
  • Click Search your selected criteria will be retrieved by the system.
  • From the list retrieved, click Select on the bank your require. The details will be automatically entered on the account.
• Payable Amount: Enter the amount to be debited, and select the currency.
• Cross Currency:
  • Exchange Rate: This is the sell rate of the selected currency against the currency of the other available transfer currency. This information is for display purposes only and cannot be changed.
  • Note: This field is displayed only when the From Account currency is different than the To Account currency.
  • Equivalent Amount: The system automatically calculates the equivalent amount every time the Exchange Rate or Payable Amount is updated. This information is for display purposes only and cannot be changed.
  • Note: This field is displayed only when the From Account currency is different than the To Account currency.
• Negotiated Rates:
  • If you have a negotiated rate from the bank you will have received a Secure Message. The message will be in your Inbox. Click on the subject heading to read the negotiation code.
  • Note: You can only use a valid negotiation code and amount for one transaction.
• Execution Date: Select the transfer date.
• Narration: Enter the reference you wish to appear on the debit account in the transaction history.
• Charges to be Paid By: Select from the list.
  • OUR - Charges to be paid by the From/Debit account.
  • BEN - Charges to be paid by the To/Credit account.
  • SHA - Charges to be shared between the From/Debit and To/Credit accounts.
• There is an option to Upload a file for supporting documentation.
• Send Advice to Beneficiary (optional): Check the box to send an email to the beneficiary (email address on beneficiary list will be used) notifying them that the transaction has been submitted.
• To delete all the transfer details without submitting the transaction you have entered click the Clear button.

Submit the Transfer

• When you have completed the details click Submit.
• You will now move to a confirmation page where you can review the details. You might be asked to input an TAN

  Some processes in the Internet Banking system require the input of an TAN (transaction authorisation number) for security reasons. For example a TAN might be required when you make a transfer between your own accounts.

  How to Use an SMS TAN

  • click Send me a TAN.
  • an SMS will be sent to your mobile phone.
  • input the code number in the field SMS TAN.
  • when you click Save the system will validate the number. TAN numbers can only be used once.

  How to Use the Token Device

  • You must enter a new TAN for each transaction you make. TAN numbers can only be used once.
  • Click the button on the Token Device and a number will be generated on the Device screen.
  • Enter the TAN number, click Submit and then Confirm.

• If charges are applicable you will view them on the confirmation screen and have the option to cancel the transaction if you do not wish to proceed.
• Click Confirm. The system will check you are authorised to complete the process.
• Upon successful submission a message will be displayed on your screen. What does the Transaction Status Mean?

  The Transaction Created message has two different meanings depending on the system status (shown in the message area of all pages).

  When the system status reads Online

  • The Online Banking System is able to process payments in an online/real-time environment.
  • A payment processed while Online is posted immediately in the involved Bank account and it is reflected in both account balances and the account statement.

  When the system status reads Transit or Offline

  • Your payment is marked as Pending. The Internet Banking System can only mark your payment as an instruction for the next Online period.
  • The payment is processed in the next available working-hours (next available Online). The successful posting of the pending payments is always subject to the available balances of the involved accounts.
  • It is strongly recommended to always check the posting result of the Offline payments using the Online Transaction Status screen.

• You can print or save the e-receipt for the completed transaction by using the icons. The transaction number is from the internet banking system.
• You can save the information by entering the name of the Template and clicking Save. Next time you wish to make the same payment you can load the template from the Template Screen. This option is currently only available to corporate clients.
